Kwik Cricket Tournament - Summer 2019
The Kwik Cricket tournaments will be held in the Summer 2 Term and competitions will be overseen by David Moss (WASPS Cricket Secretary), the WCDG and Staffs Cricket.
Year 5/6 competition – Usually formed of qualifiers and a finals day. Teams of 8 players in 4 pairs (squad of up to 10). No restrictions on gender.
Year 3/4 competition – Usually formed of a finals day. Teams of 8 players in 4 pairs (squad of up to 10). No restrictions on gender.
Year 5/6 GIRLS ONLY competition – Usually formed of a finals day. Teams of 8 players in 4 pairs (squad of up to 10).
The competition will run as per last year with leagues taking place at Fordhouses Cricket Club. Winners of the final will go forward to represent Wolverhampton.
Please note that this event is run in conjunction with Staffordshire Cricket and WASPS (Wolverhampton Association for Sports in Primary Schools).
The WASPS code of conduct applies to this and subsequent events and should be disseminated to children, young people, staff and parents. This is available on the WASPS website.
In order for schools to enter, affiliation to WASPS via ConnectEd or by separate payment to the WASPS committee must have taken place. Entry will be denied if this is not the case.
A generic risk assessment for this activity is available, however the overall responsibility of safety and welfare of children, staff and parents at this event remains with the school, with this risk assessment providing a guide to completion of the school’s own specific assessment.
GDPR Statement: Please note that details submitted to the relevant WASPS Secretary will be shared with the appropriate sporting bodies. This information will remain on file for the duration of the competition and will be destroyed upon completion and used for no other purpose without your explicit consent.
